When to Test

  • The GlycoMark test is an adjunctive test that is indicated for patients with diabetes to assess intermediate-term glycemic control.
  • The GlycoMark test can be used as a recent (two-week) marker of glucose control at all levels of A1C to identify trends, and can identify the degree/frequency of hyperglycemic excursions at A1Cs of 8% or less.
  • The GlycoMark test can be ordered in addition to A1C and/or to check the response to recent lifestyle and/or treatment modifications.

The GlycoMark test is an FDA-cleared, non-fasting serum or plasma test for monitoring blood glucose variability in people with diabetes. The GlycoMark test provides quantitative measurement of 1,5-anhydroglucitol (1,5-AG) in serum or plasma. The test is for professional use, and is indicated for the intermediate term monitoring of glycemic control in people with diabetes.
